August 1 “Fred
B. Windover” One-Day Member/Guest – male member may invite 1, 2 or 3 guests. Format
of play: 1 gross + 1 net score per hole with 100% handicap allowance
(guests must provide proof of handicap or play at scratch). Maximum of 128 players for this event. Entry
fee: $60.00/player Sign-ups begin:
July 2nd in the Golf Shop.
August 2-3 Senior Men’s & Junior Championship –
36 holes of medal play – gross & net. Applications available June 1st in Golf Shop. Age divisions for Seniors:
(50-54) (55-59) (60-64) (65-69) (70-74) (75 & up) – entry fee: $25.00 Junior age divisions: (13 and under)
(14-15) and (16-17) – no entry fee for juniors Deadline for entry: July 29th.
August 4-6 Women’s 3-Day Invitational – course
will be CLOSED to participants only for each of the three days of this
event. Taconic members will have an invitation mailed to them and should return
the completed form by the date requested to the Golf Shop. All Taconic members
are granted automatic entry into the event with the balance of the field being
selected by lottery by women members of the Tournament Committee and their
sub-committee. COURSE CLOSED Monday & Tuesday (all day) – open Wednesday after
August 10 Allied Individual & Team Championship @ Wahconah CC and Allied Net Championship @ Skyline CC – entry forms in Golf Shop and must be completed by July 27th.
August 13 Taconic 4-Ball Classic – Gross better ball of twosome event. Entry forms are available in the Golf Shop beginning July 1st and must be returned by August 4th deadline to be considered. Automatic entry for all Taconic members that comply with entry procedures ~ outside entries accepted by combined handicap indexes as of the entry deadline. Two meals are included with your entry to the tournament. Noon shotgun start – course is CLOSED for the day.
August 18-20 Aerification of Greens – weather permitting. Course is open for play, but expect maintenance conditions and possible a temporary green or two. Please advise any of your guests of this necessary maintenance process. Contact Golf Shop if you have any questions.
