Text Box: Text Box: As many of you already know, the long awaited golf course restoration has begun. The crews arrived as expected in mid-August and have made remarkable strides. No one can question their work ethic or expertise in the effort they have shown so far.
As can be expected, players should encounter an occasional temporary green or tee and perhaps a closed hole as the project moves forward. We hope to keep all of you informed through the club’s website and notices posted in and around the golf shop. It might be a good idea to read over the Master Plan details again to refresh yourself on the details of the project.

Text Box: RESTORATION POSES CHANGES TO PLAY & POSTING SCORES
Text Box: With the close of the tournament season at the club, except for a couple of college events, I wanted to make sure that everyone was on the same page regarding how we play the course and post scores for handicap consideration.
Naturally, we can see assume that anything connected with the restoration can be considered as “Ground Under Repair”, even though there are not any markings out there.
Text Box: Players should find the nearest spot of relief (not closer to the hole) that affords relief and drop the ball—without penalty. I think everyone is pretty much in agreement with this philosophy.
As for posting of scores, please check out the sheet located next to the handicap posting computer in the lounge. Generally speaking, any holes played with regular tees and greens will record the actual score.
Text Box: Holes with a temporary tee, green or are closed shall record a par + any allocated handicap strokes based on your handicap.
The sheet posted near the handicap posting computer goes a bit more into detail regarding your posting of scores and we would hope that all of you would abide by the guidelines. For the record, this policy was handed down to us by the USGA and falls under the recommendations in their handicap manual.
